- The Night of Philosophy at UNESCO in Paris on 16th November 2018. I talked about how philosophy of language can help us navigate the propaganda and disinformation of the current news cycle.
- I gave the same talk the following week, at the Workshop on Democracy, Rights, and Populism: Contested Concepts and Rhetorical Uses at the Università degli studie del Piemonte Orientale in Vercelli, Italy.
- BIAP -- The new Barcelona Institute of Analytic Philosophy -- exists! The 1st BIAP Workshop: Disagreements was held at the UB (c/Montalegre 6, 4th floor, Sala Gran) on January 24th-25th. I gave a talk on disagreements with bald-faced liars.
- Delivered my “Dangerous Speech and Collective Action”, at the Social Ontology 2018 Conference, in August 22-25, 2018, Tufts University, Boston, MA, USA
- In the academic year 2017/2018, I convened a reading group on Value Talk.
- I also convened a lunchtime reading group on Kate Manne's Down Girl: the Logic of Misogyny. Highly recommend her book!
- Interuniversity workshop Mind, Art, and Morality Language & Power organized with Esa Díaz León in May 22-23 at the University of Barcelona.
- I presented my paper "Amelioration vs Perversion" in the Legal Theory Festival in the University of Edinburgh in June 2018, also at the Valencia Philosophy Lab Colloquium in May 2018.
- And I was a discussant at the Symposium on Kate Manne's book Down Girl: The Logic of Misogyny organized by Vera Tripodi and Carlotta Pavese, in June 2018..
- I am one of the co-authors and signatories of this declaration by philosophers working in Catalonia, condemning violence and unilateral declarations or actions in ina the region, and calling for dialogue and a political resolution to the crisis.. We are deeply concerned with the current Catalan situation, The declaration can be signed (by anyone) here. It has appeared in various newspapers, such as The Guardian, El País, La Vanguardia. Kofi Annan and the Elders have also called for dialogue and restraint.
- I'm presenting a paper at the GRSeminar convened by Esa Díaz León in the spring semester. Recently I had presented the paper “Dangerous Political Speech and Collective Action” in the GRSeminar in the October semester.
- I taught Metaethics in the Aphil master at the University of Barcelona the first semester 2017/2018.
- I was reelected for the steering committee of the European Society of Analytic Philosophy, from 2017-2020.

- The site of the project CAND, Collective Attitudes & Normative Disagreement has moved and is now hosted at upf.edu.
- The project Contextualism, Relativism and Practical Conflicts and Disagreement, EuroUnder/0001/2010, of which I was the PI, and that was part of the EUROCORES CCCOM project, has finally come to an end. Great results, and thanks to all project members. Good work! (CCCOM will continue to have give fruits, stay tuned).

- I have written a brief article for The Conversation on the serious problems with research assessment and funding in Portugal (of the responsibility of FCT and the current Portuguese government mostly), which has been reprinted here and here. You can sign an open letter of support for European research: "Scientists from different European countries describe in this letter that, despite marked heterogeneity in the situation of scientific research in their respective countries, there are strong similarities in the destructive policies being followed. This critical analysis, highlighted in Nature and simultaneously published in a number of newspapers across Europe, is a wake-up call to policy makers to correct their course, and to researchers and citizens to defend the essential role of science in society."
- At ECAP 8 in Bucharest, the European Society for Analytic Philosophy elected a new steering committee and a new president. Our new president is Stephan Hartmann (Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy, Ludwig Maximilians-Universität München), and ECAP 9 will thus be in Munich.
- I have been selected for an Ikerbasque research fellowship 2014.
- I am a member of the new 3-year research project, About Ourselves, FFI2013-47948-P, running at the University of Barcelona until 2016.
